Check out menu on line. Plenty of options but certainly not geared to younger set. Fried chicken, poutine, crab cakes are really good.
Absolutely outstanding food and service highly recommend🚀
We had fun and the food was pretty good. We went there for my birthday and had a really nice time.
We came from Buffalo—a 45 minute drive—and it was more than worth it. The atmosphere was charming, cozy, and welcoming. The staff made us feel welcome and were very knowledgeable about the menu. Our food came out in a very good amount of time, and it was incredible. My husband and I both god steaks, and they were some of the best steaks we’ve ever had. We would absolutely come again, and plan to soon!
We decided on a whim to go to the Colden Mill for supper. Wow, were we surprised by the Tuesday night specials! I had a pan seared trout that was delicious. The addition of the pan roasted vegetables was a wonderful addition. My dining partner enjoyed the other entree special - a cornmeal crusted pork dish. She loved it. Thank you for making Tuesday night out special!
An absolute must for any real foodie in WNY. Fine dining without the pretentious atmosphere or exorbitant price. My wife and I both started with the grilled romaine parmesan salad and it was so good that we ordered a 3rd one to split during dinner. I had the duck and my wife the NY strip steak - both were excellent. The staff was very friendly and professional and we did not wait long at all for our meals. Tasteful music, including old blues was played in the background; a nice attention to detail rather than generic "restaurant music". Still, the best part was the food. I have had plenty of fine dining in my time, and the Colden Mill goes toe-to-toe with the best of them.
Beautiful building and location. The food is excellent. Outside deck overlooking the creek is perfect in the summertime! Worth a pretty country drive if you don't live nearby.
Been here twice in the past few months. Both times it was absolutely excellent. It's my favorite type of restaurant because it's nice but isn't too nice where you feel like you can't go there in jeans. The food is fantastic and the service was great. Truly a hidden gem. It's a nice escape from the chaos and traffic that seems to be taking over Buffalo recently and is well worth the ride. I recently had a NY Strip steak with a stuffed pepper on top and it was the best steak I've had in years!Everyone should check out the Colden Mill and support the small, independent places as much as possible. It would be a disaster if all we had left in 20 years were TGI Friday's and Applebees.
Had a date night at Colden. Choose it for the location and to experience something new and fun. Colden Mill did not disappoint! The food was beyond delicious and the portions were HUGE! The atmosphere was calm and laid back plus we sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air. And our waiter Christian was absolutely amazing! He offered suggestions on the best items on the menu and we tried it all much to our delight! He was also very personable, knowledgeable and friendly! We will definitely be back!
A mill over a stream s transformed into a lovely restaurant. The limited menu provides sound choices. The dining room and bar are spectacular. The view from the deck is magnificent.
Great place for a good mealStaff was excellent, I did not feel rush very relaxing atmosphere. Good portion sizes.
This is a lovely place to dine! Everybody's dinners were very good. I have just one suggestion. Please offer a few lower priced entrees.
Phenomenal is the word. From greeting to service to an amazing meal. Portions were very large even appetizers. I don't mind the long drive for the atmosphere and wonderful quiet meal.
Great quiet place for date night. Food was perfect and Jackie or waitress made the night very enjoyable. No doubt we will return.
Attended a baby shower. Breakfast buffet & the sausage gravy w/biscuits was delicious! And, every baby shower should have a Bloody Mary bar 😄
Food was excellent and service was great. Will definitely go again.
Always a great meal! We went for our anniversary. Best homemade Sangria. Steak was cooked perfectly.
We were so disappointed in our experience. The ambience is lovely but difficult to enjoy when you are so cold. My husband actually put his winter jacket on in an effort to keep warm. The service was unbelievably slow-it took half an hour just to get our bread. The menu is limited and was not the same menu as on their website. We had a Groupon, but that only applies to the entrees, not the comfort food, so that further limited our options. I had the fillet mignon which was well cooked and the Demi-glacé was tasty. But the potato wedges had no seasoning at all and we did not have salt or pepper at our table, had to ask the waitress for them. Our water glasses were not refilled, they ran out IPA beer they had on tap and had no other IPA available and it took another half an hour to pay the bill.
Tuesday night, guiet place for dinner. Good variety of choices, sizable portions, reasonable pricing. Service was fine. Will return for sure
Wonderful service, beautiful atmosphere, delicious food! ,Bonus - separate checks were available for our table of 8.
Beautiful rustic dining rooms. Very friendly and engaging staff. Food was superb! We will be back.
Consistently delicious fresh food served in a welcoming country atmosphere surrounded by one of the most scenic areas in Western New York.
I had the bacon wrapped meatloaf with a barbecue sauce mashed potatoes and veggies . All were very good
Gwad awful from start to finish. Empty restaurant and a 6 top was sat right next to us. A server, with large bone structure, was serving them and bumping my uncle in the head (slid our table away, by ourselves). Our server, clearly young and new, couldn’t pronounce any menu item correctly. Asked for our orders before we got our drinks. Had to send back my soup as it was lukewarm, dry salad with a drop of dressing. Entree sent back for the same in addition to gummy unseasoned mashed potatoes and chicken that was obviously already cooked then breaded and fried. No apologies for anything. Ordered coffee and 20 minutes later had to ask again (which is when they started to make it). Food safety issues galore!!! I got an eggsalad sandwich at country fair on my way home which showed better culinary technique.
